I have the auto locking hubs on my F250 and wanted to know if I can use the Warn premium locking hubs because I really dont like how much of a pain it is waiting for those auto locking hubs to unlock when 4x4 is done being used.
Very easy to install. The hardest part may be getting the old ones off due to corrosion. I had to have my left hub replaced due to the bearing issue so common with the 250SD's. When they did that they threw on the manuals for free. I bought the parts and left them in the truck. (fyi the labor to replace my hub and axle shaft plus the HUBS was only 97.00 with my good buddy discount at my wifes stealership.)
i did this and also suggest disconnecteing the vac lines to the knuckle and capping them off.. and if you are in there may want to check your knuckle seal (some call it a main seal)
For those on this forum that haven't seen his site, take a good look around while there. The engine stuff is for a 7.3, but the rest of the powertrain mostly applies.
