Hey Guys
I Am Going To Replace My Stock Auto Locking Hubs ( P O S ) With Some New Warn Premium Manual Locking Hubs.
Was Wondering If The Lug Nut Covers Will Still Fit After The New Hubs Are Installed. You Know, The Lug Nut Cover Has That Big Hole In It Where The Hub Sticks Through.
yes, the center caps will still work. i just bought me a set of these tonight, and i am planning to install them next weekend. got them new off ebay for $180. great deal! plus i get to get rid of the crappy- vaccuum line method!
i have the manual hubs on mine... how much trouble is it to take them off to clean them and lube them...? is it worth upgrading to the warn manual hubs from the stock ones..?
not to take over the thread but I just installed a set of the premiums. Warn states that "floating" is alright. How much floating is good, I would say there is about a 1/4" of "floating on mine. 4wd seems to work but I am just wondering if I did something wrong. I don't think I did but I am not any ase mechanic by any means. Thanks
What do you mean by 'floating'? Are the hubs moving in and out of the rotor hole?
I've got an issue with my Warn's rattling going over bumps, and Warn customer support is sending me out a second set of the circular lock rings to install on my truck. (Big thanks to krewat for that one!)
They say that on SD's the groove where the stock 'wire' lock ring sits is too wide for only one of their circular lock rings to seat and properly hold the hub in, and putting two rings will do the trick.
On another note, Howdy 4x4 in Refugio! Good to see another South Texas user on here!
