I always had to crank my truck for a while to get it to start when it is cold.
I have changed quite a few things, but it is still almost the same. I dieselmech. told me I could have a internal leak in the injectorpump. He told me that I could try an electric inline fuel pump, he new there was some witch stayd on only 12 sec. everytime you turned on the ignition. He colud not remember the name of it, and I have been looking on the internet, with no luck. Anyone of you guys heard of something simular to this pump?
allot of guys use and reccomend a holley red pump, makes changing fuel filters much easier to. a simple chevy block off plate can be used for where the mechanical pump was to.
Yeah, a lot of people will name injection pump when its glow plugs. These engines are far more sensitive than other brands about glow plugs. I also have a small fuel pump on a toggle switch, I turn it on when I change fuel filters.
