I have a 1987 f250 with a edlbrock 4bbl carburator. It isnt running yet because the in-tank fuel pump is not working, but that should be fixed tomorrow. My question is how many fuel pumps do you have? I have read that there is supposed to be an in-tank pump and either a pump on the side of the block or an in-line pump. My truck only has the in tank pumps, no inline or anything. Is it ok to run like this? I have been looking at the inline pumps and they all pump 70-90 psi, but the carb is only rated at about 8-12 psi.
The frame pumps are for fuel injected engines. Some do put a low pressure pump on the frame but you do not need that unless you have fuel starvation at hi altitude climes.
You have only the two in-tank pumps and a electric selector valve on the frame for the fuel gauge and align the the right tank to the engine for both supply and return fuel to the right tank.

Well sounds like I'm ok with just the in tank pumps, I'll leave it at that. Thank you for the reply
