Would that predator help that god awful 1-2 super soft shift on my 98? 10 years and 140,000 miles of the worst 1-2 shift of any vehicle I have ever owned.
the one thing i don't like about the Hypertech is that the program it was loaded with in 2001 or so is it, no updates, nada.
i can do without the "data at your fingertips"....just one more thing to take my attention away from the road.
Same could be said about anything in the car really, it just take a responisble driver to know when to mess with it and when not to.
But really its no different than checking your speed and rpm, Actually its better becasue you dont have to move your head down, just move your eyes a bit to the left...
Kinda like the old hood tachs its already close to your line of sight

Would it be possible to get one that would work for both my Mustang and my truck? I think I know you have to put the OEM tune back in before you move to another vehicle... Just thought it would be fun to play around with both. I think I'm going to buy one. Any special model, or is it just called a predator? Is it user friedly for a 54 year old gearhead? Can these be used for diagnostics? Sorry for the hi-jack, but I really want to firm up that shift. What $ range should I expect. Thanks for the help!

Spotty...
LOL, I'm a 51 year old gearhead myself you old geezer!!! Be able to read Diagnostic Codes is one of the reasons that I bought mine (besides the tuner part that is) and it will also do real time recording of sensors too! You'll love the DiabloSport Predator!!!
I looked at the DiabloSport website and they show one model tuner for the Mustang and a different model tuner for the truck. (I was looking at 2002 models). It may be different for the model years of your truck and stang. Check it out on their website (Click on their name above). Good luck!
Thanks John... I went to the website, but the "search" part won't work. Apparently my "browser" is not compatible. First time I ever had that happen. I will find the info. someplace...Thanks Again...Spotty...
