downpipe??

will a 3in downpipe for a 96 psd make it faster or take off better???

As a stand alone mod, a 3"DP would help with EGT's and let your turbo spool a bit faster. HOWEVER! If you plan on doing mods in the future i.e. chip, intake possible injectors, a DP will allow your truck to breath breath better and get the hot exhaust out. Hope this helps! Even if your not planning on any other mods, a 3" dp and a DIY intake will let you engine breath deeply giving you a little more ooomphh more quickly. Plus its just nice to hear that turbo sing long and loud. And with fuel prices the way they are, anything to make the engine work easier is worth it

you are thinkin right. do the DP, then say bye-bye to the cat. then get an air intake. shim the fpr (just did mine about 20 minutes ago and lovin it, cost $1.75). then do a superchip or a chip.

What part cost you $1.75. A whole pack of BB's? Hope ya got steal because lead has been outlawed by the Feds.
