460 ID Help (I Have The Numbers)

Could someone be kind enough to tell me what I have. Part #'s as follows:

Block: D(or B)9TE-AB

Crank: The only number I could see was 2 on the 1st(closest to the timing cover) counterweight

Rods: C9AE
-B

Heads: D3VE-A2A

Harmonic Balancer: D9TE-EA

Thanks in advance
Steve

460 ID Help (I Have The Numbers)

Is there any difference with the truck block?
I could not find a Y on the crank anywhere! Where should it be?
The heads is the funny part considering they were sold to me as 88 or later heads, which I asked for because I thought they were supposed to have better flow. Could someone please enlighten me on the pros and cons of the later heads.
The other matter is it was supposed to be a virgin motor. 69 Rods? The guy I brought it from rang me a week later to tell me what a bargin I got because he then said it was a CJ bottom end(maybe he thought the rods were) are they?
Thanks again

CJ rods and other parts are DOOE. Truck rods with football head bolts didn't start until the '70s (can't recall the ID number).

I have had a good look at everything and the rods do have the foot ball shaped bolts on them although I dont know if they really are any stronger.

They're beefier in the bolt area. Don't forget to use new bolts when you put it together. I like ARP.

The C9AE-B connecting rods are the rods that were used in 429 Boss 820 "T" engine. Fords 429 street Boss. In my opinion those are the best that ford made with that rod length. You got some great rods. How they got there? Who knows.

The EFI heads (ie 88+) use center bolt valve covers. Thus you should be able to tell from 100 feet away if the heads are for a carb or EFI. If the seller didn't know this...
