DT 570 Question

Drive an 05 International 7400 w/ a DT 570 at work. Quick question. I think it has a variable-vane style turbo like the 6.0L's so do these motors have the same emissions setup like the 6.0L? Just wondering because it idles a good bit and was wondering if it is prone to having the stuck turbo vanes like the 6.0L is prone to

Yes, they are very similar, and yes they do have problems after idling too long. We have a couple 05 DT466's at work, and one of em has had to go back to the dealer once already for just that.

The vanes can also rust in place if the truck sits too long. We had a big problem with new trucks that weren't sold right away.
