I have an 03 that I was not happy with as far as boost readings. Real slow to build. I had a leaking passenger side exhaust manifold so I got that fixed and decided while doing that to order new 4 in exhaust. I debated on pulling the turbo hoping the exhaust leak fix would solve the problem, but the more I thought about it the more it seemed like stuck vanes. I yanked the turbo and am I glad I did. Unison ring was totally bound up as well as 2 of the vanes. Got it taken apart and ready to polish up and do a rebuild on. Turbine wheel looks terrible and I will be replacing that. One question I have is would you guys put a wicked wheel 2 on the compressor side with the motor not being studded? I also have the Atlas 40 tune from Ed at ficmrepair.com

Save your money on Bob's ww2. A number of people including a trucks I've worked on, it causes high EGTs and actually hurts spool.
If you don't have the cash for a new, upgraded turbo, Riffraff Diesel makes a much better single plane, 11 blade wheel that I've been running since spring 2014.
The spool is much better than stock with my tunes, the Atlas 40, and 4 inch exhaust.
