Leaking solid rear window.... (02' Screw)
Also how is the exterior plastic moulding held on? Clips?
Thanks
i had a similar problem on my 98 150, but i had a slider. to answer your question, my exterior trim was held on by studs that ran thru the rear of the cab. You will have to remove the interior trim panels near your C-pillar, then remove the rear seat backrest. I think that mine was secured down by the lower cushion, i flipped my lower cushion forward then had access to the two screws that fasten the backrest to the cab body. lift staight up on the backrest because there are guides or channels that the top section of the backrest are fastened with. I think from there you can access the small nuts that fasten the window assembly down to the body. If i remember right they are 10mm and there is a crapload of them on there. Take all the nuts off, and pull your exterior trim ring off. then the tough part. gently but firmly push the window out of place. You should have a helper if possible. The window is glued in with some type of tar like substance. sometimes this will leak. when you get the window pulled out, you can either try to reuse the old sealer but add silicone... probably not the best fix, or remove all the black sealer gunk get new sealer from a local auto glass installer. it comes on a roll with paper backing and its about the thickness of a sharpie marker. This would be the best fix. you may want to wipe some rtv silicone on any spots on the window frame that look like a potential leak area. from there, install frame carefully and straight. make sure to draw up evenly and make sure its torqued.. I use german torque, guueten tite. then just reverse dissasembly. not easy job, but not super hard.
