Need fast advice.

hey guys, i'm thinking about trading my 2004 2500hd 6.0 to a 99 f-350 7.3 a/t. It has a superchips programmer and 200 hp injectors. My concern is that he said his pyro gauge which is after the turbo will read up to 1200 when pulling up a long hill and even up to 1400 when towing. Are these temps to high for post turbo temps and could the engine be hurt? My ? is would it be smart to trade or wait for another diesel to come along. Thanks.

Yes. I think the temps are 2-3 hundred degrees lower post turbo. So if he's running 1400 post that means he is definitely over the line.

Ya if you end up getting the truck the first thing you should invest in is a water/propane injector. Apparently it greatly cools EGT's and adds some power. Im no expert on it so im sure someone else can chime in. Its relatively cheap too (~$275-$375??)
