I think it all depends on whats good for you bro. I'm getting the new BFG mud tires on Tuesday. Do you know if they last a while?
I want the toyos but they are 75 lbs a piece in the size I want. I have this image of tieing cinder blocks to my wheels.. I like the new km2s but they are expensive, alot more then the toyo's, and everyone on another forum has them and I'm sick of looking at them already. Plus knowone has had them long enough to even quess on miles because they almost just came out.
Do you know where you saw the Toyo's for cheaper??? I looked on a few websites and couldn't find the Toyo's cheaper than the BFG's. My buddy had the km1's and said you could get 60k plus miles out of them.

Toyo's at tread depot.com free shipping only until the 31st.
275 70 18 = 280 a tire
33 x 12.50 18 = 295 a tire
Km2's I could only find at the tire rack and they were
305 60 18 = 286
35 x 12.50 18 = 292
BUT!! they want 200 for shipping either way because they said it can only come freight to my business and I have to take them off the truck with a forklift.. they kinda pissed me off because they acted like there is no other way of shipping, but yet about ten other online tire places I called had no issues with ups ground to my house. It's not hard to take four tires off a box truck by hand. tire rack acted like they were stone that weighed a ton.
the thing i didn't like about the 18" tire i could find their all 10ply when you get into 33' and 35'
my truck hauls more crap then you could possibly know so for me I need 10 ply anyway.. but like you said that causes the weight problem.. I dont know what tires to get..
I like the Toyo, but it is over priced (from the sizes I looked at), and I don't know about the KM2, but it might be ok, but over priced also. The BFG M/T (KM1) is a good tire, but still a little pricey, and about the comment on 60K +(glad your friends buddys aunts grandson thinks so(no offense), but 45-50K is it, and believe me at 50K there won't be any grip left to pull through anything off road.
I like the Copper STT, b/c it is just like the Toyo, but in my area at least, much cheaper. They perform great in all conditions(wet roads, mud, etc...), and they last quite a while for a M/T which is about (45-50K if you take care of them).
And the A/T shouldn't be included in the catagory you've listed.
So out of the 4, the Copper STT is my vote, but I personally went with a set of Hankook M/Ts.... For $700 shipped to local tire store, mounted and balanced, it is much better than spending $280+ a tire(280x4=to much for me....over $1,000 for tires alone...).
