Question which tire??

Does any one know about the procomp x terrain tires. I've read some articles and think they look good for on and off road use. the other tires being considered are BFG AT or BFG MT

I personally dont like the all terrains, just not enough traction offroad.

any suggestions on a good on and off road tire? I drive about 70% road and 30% dirt/mud.

bfg muds, ive gotten 60000 out of them before, smooth quiet ride, better than any "all terrain" off road

I have heard and seen good results from Dunlop Radial Rover RVs. They are a bit more aggressive than BFG ATs, and less expensive. I am running Sport King ATs on my 84, they work excellent in all conditions mud sand snow...everything; their only down fall is they are a bit noisy on the road.

I second the BFG MTs. I got about 45000 miles out of my last set and have about 3000 miles on my new set. I love them.

try the Kumho venture MT's they look just like the bfg MT's but at half the cost. my buddy has put 50,000+ miles on his set with nice wear results. they do great off-road, i will be buying a set soon for my truck.

I would never buy Goodyear again. The one and only set I ever bought, Goodyear would not stand behind their warranty.

My personal favourites are General Grabber AP's. I know, i know, they are not knarly mud tires, but they are without a doubt the best set of all purpose tires i have ever put on a truck.

Ok not to hi-jack the thread but kinda to continue it. Im looking for cheap, good (I know they don't go together) mud/off road tires. I don't need boggers or super swampers... nothin like that. Things running along the lines of BFG MT's (which I would get but in no way could afford. A certian jeff foxworthy joke about the tired on your truck costing more than your truck comes to mind) I DO NOT CARE how loud they are........ for any reason....... in fact hell the louder the better man! (not that they would hear it over the engine..........) -myers

I have seen those kumho tires they look like they would do pretty good. I like my Sport Kings personally, got a set of 31x10.50s for less than 400 bucks

Those PC tires will wear really fast iof driven on the street. They are made from a softer compound. If you want any kind of mileage at all.....go with BFG MT's.
