Idea

Since i'm usually frustrated by participation.

I was thinking perhaps we should have a chapter charter sorta deal.

I got a lot of idea's for it. What does everyone else think?

A charter is what we stand for as a group.

I can write it as the chapter leader, but we are group together, not me alone, so i wanted everyone's imput for the charter.

Just says what we stand for and what we expect of our fellow enthusiasts.

I'd rather have a group of 25 tight knit guys who want to do things together as a club, share information and idea's and have some fun. then 200 non participating members who never even check forums.

Its a charter though, not a OMG YOU GOTTA COME OR DELETE!

A few of you that post here, except tim1, really make me happy that people want to participate and make things happen for our group.

A fishing charter also sounds like something fun we can do on the "west" side of the state. hahaha. Salamon!

I can get numbers on that, but thats another topic, so lets.. stay away from that in this thread.

I guess what i want to know is what you guys expect from us as a club together.
I can't use this latest event planning as a reference to participation, but i've had 8 new members join in 2 weeks, and one has posted in here. That stuff bothers me.

am i just trying to hard?

You are doing a fine job! Keep it up. All any of us can do is keep throwing ideas out and see who wants to do what. I/we appreciate that you go over and above trying to organize stuff to do and meet, sometimes life gets in the way of getting together. I am looking forward to meeting the people that are in the Michigan chapter. I have met a few but as mentioned many join, little join in.

Maybe turning it in to more of a "club" people will get involved.
