Hey just had a thought, with the poll going on in another thread. Are we going to be able to cross enemy lines and do stuff as a whole group? I'm thinkin' like Harley has HOG, but the dealers all have a local chapter. We should still find an event that all the chapters can get together at.

Talyn, i think your doin a heck of a job. It mostly falls on us members because ill admint i havent got on here and checked this forum for 2 days. But to defend myself because when i do check this forum, threre is much action anyway.

Ill try to check this foum whenever i get on here and whatever you want to do to make this chapter better and get more participation, I'm game.

ok all be nice. as for my in put.
1. we need to show up for meets and stuff.
2. everyone needs to keep up with whats going on.
3. we should set up a charter and meet dates, if miss two your out.
4. must post or replay to post often.
William you are doing great so keep it up some of us want to get together and enjoy
what we got. whats your idea on it all.

I'm all for meets and such, and I'm not into personal attacks of any kind, so please don't take it as one, BUT You can't kick someone out of the chapter for not attending your meets and such. Some people have a life outside of the computer and FTE and should not have to appoligize for that. I for one will attend anything I can BUT don't threaton (sp) to through me out because I can't attend one of your meetings. I have tried many times to put a meet together without any partisapation. People have their own lives to live and can't always adhear to YOUR schedual.

I agree with everyone, William is doing a great job as Chapter Leader, and haveing been there I know his frustration, But don't condem those that don't partisapate, they do what they can. Sorry for the rant.

Jim

So the only way to get more people to show up is to organize stuff, it's kind of a catch 22. You take the time to set places up to meet and try to get a number of how many are coming, and nobody shows. Having charters won't necessarily fix that, but having people help you to organize meets might be the answer. I was set to go to Frankenmuth, it got cancelled, I didn't go.

So what's the next step from here...maybe we should start a thread (or sticky at the top) with ideas of get togethers. Truck events etc. bbender and I had a quick convesation about an event in Hastings for example.

Let me know when and I will see what work is going to look like. Our plant just went back on a 12 days on / 2 days off work schedule. Not sure how long it will last. If work allows me, I try and be there..

From: In my mind.
we know everyone has a life outside this. know one has threatoned anyone. it is an
Idea only for the people that join then do nothing or do not atleast try to make a go
of it. as for me I am a member of 3 car clubs and if a member does not do anything
as a member they are removed. most clubs have some kind of rules as does FTE.
as a member of the Michigan chapter I only want to do my part in being a member
and support it.

I may be a bit old fashion, but I think a Ford Truck Enthusiasts club should concern itself with ford trucks. Not santa clause or ocean crusies, etc. Maybe other classic vehicles. I know I appreciate just about all classic vehicles. Lets remember "WE ARE Ford Truck Enthusiasts."

That was pretty random bro, but ya. =)

what we do for events dont nessarly have to concern ford trucks, but we are brough together by that common interest and enthusiasm.

I really want to get a nice line up and group picture next meet.
