I'm pulling the 460 out of my 1989 F350 right now and decided to pull the transmission too to make the motor pull easier. Anyways, the transmission is out and I was wondering what kind of things I need to check on the transmission before reinstalling it back into the truck.
I already plan on putting in a new filter/gasket but what about a refresh? Upgrades like a shift kit? I am redoing this truck to pull our 32' camper all around the country.
The truck as 110k miles on it and was running/shifting great before removing it.
