what about if you are running the egde juice chip? I traced the wires last night and I thought it plugged into that so if I unplug it will it do anything with my chip?
The EBPV is just a butterfly in the turbo exhaust outlet. As long as it's opening okay, there's no advantage to unplugging it. It won't cause boost loss because once your truck warms up, it's fully open. And actually, unless it's really cold where you are, it should open when you step on the brake to put it in gear. I haven't heard it, but when it's very cold it will close the EBPV a little when you're idling in gear or coasting feathering the pedal, but once you step on it, it opens again.
