Short answer - Yes.
Long answer - You meed to confirm that the Warranty Plate number matches the VIN stamped on the frame.
You will find it on the passenger side rail, ahead of the of the cross member, but behind the core support, about where the alternator sits on a V-8.
The stampings are light, so you'll need to be careful when uncovering it. Don't use a grinder, but use a wire brush.
the warranty number and the vin on the frame dont match. the warranty number says not for titling. so do i use the one on the frame.
The Warranty Number is the same as the VIN = Vehicle Identifcation Number.
If the VIN on the Warranty Plate (located on the left door face) does not match the VIN on the registration, or on the frame...the door has been changed.
1961/66: Any door from any F100 thru F1100 will bolt on.
It wasn't used for titling purposes because it is too easily changed. You can remove and replace those little "rivets" that hold the Warranty Plate on with a fingernail.
And, most states nowadays DO look at VINs - check out CNN about the VW bus bound for Europe after being stolen 35 years ago. E-bay was the biggest motivation for states to tighten up their shot group on this.
States that I know that check stamped VINs are WA, MD, VA, AZ and PA for sure.
