My turbo holds no boost, rev to 1500 and above in park or any gear and it will hold for a second then release all boost, with a woosh sound, I have Edge with Attitude, turbo does the same thing in all settings including stock, does not matter if the engine is warm or cold. All electric connections are good, and no air leaks in up pipes, or intercooler couplings, and I have tried disconnecting the red vac line to waste gate. Faulty Waste Gate? or not ajusted properly?
Welcome to FTE. You won't really make boost in park, or neutral. The boost you probably see on the digital gauge is the increase in turbo wheel speed momentarily pressurizing the system until the engine can "eat up" the air. Go out for a drive when it's warm and see if it makes boost.
Unpluging the EBPV on the turbo pedestal worked, runs great now, is there any downfall to doing this, shouldI tape off the connections or something to keep junk out, what does the EBPV control.

My truck is doing the same thing. But here in mn I believe I need the ebpv connected so it warms up properly. Does this mean I need to replace the pedestal or just rebuild the valve. Thanks for posting this Dock
