Question

02 Explorer Sport Trac - Computer Codes

My check engine light came on. When I connect my OBDC2 reader it will not power up? It works on my other vehicles (99 Ford, 98 Toyota, 02 Dodge, etc... I had a friend check it with his reader. Same result, would not read the codes. Is there a fuse somewhere? What should I look for? Thanks, Doug

I seem to remember that the OBDii connector is powered from the same fuse as the cig lighter. May be wrong.....dont have schematic handy but!

Thanks, I will check the fuse. My son did mention that he could not use the Lighter outlet to charge his cell phone. Hopefully that is the problem. Have a great day! Doug
