1996 stereo question

Question 1996 stereo question
Have a sort of wierd question... im wanting to tie into the stereo on my 1996 explorer with jbl sound to somehow attach rca cables for my ipod. have tried the whole fm modultaed thing and so far it has not worked out so well. so i guess what im wondering is can i tie into the cd changers out wires to piggyback rca cables making a direct connection? any ideas or suggestions?

You can only connect those wires through an adapter, otherwise the impedance will be all wrong and you could fry something.
