I am new to the diesel world an have found a fuel leaking from a sensor on the side of the fuel filter housing. I can not see any part numbers on it and can't seem to find any part break downs on the web. Does anybody know the part number of this sensor?

 

I do not, based on your description and without pics, but I believe it is the water in diesel sensor. Try looking that up, and see if it matches what you are looking for. Then let me know if it was.

I can be replaced with a 1/8 pipe plug ,,,


Not too tight ,,( don't want to crack the housing)...

 

Replaced mine last month .. top sensor drivers side on fuel canister. International part # 1809435C1 with list price $30.32.

Thanks for the help it is the Fuel Filter restriction sensor. Hopefuly the dealer will stock one.
