Knocking Noise?

When i start my truck every morning in the winter time it seems to run a knocking noise all the time until it gets warm which usually takes about 15 min. running around town. And it wont hardly jump up and go if you try to stick your foot in it. Anyone wanna help me out and explain whats going on. And is there a cure. I have good oil and add lucas. But i have also heard things about injection knock and bad glow plugs.

Ok thanks but it did this prior to the use of the lucas so whats the next reason it could be doing this.

Ok well it could be normal. My truck is pretty noisey until its warmed up. Could also be an injector getting noisey then with the hot oil it clears up. Just guessing though.

It will make more noise with the 15/40 glue/Honey.
This your first winter? Or have you run the 15/40 past winters?

Yep go to a 5W40 oil and it will quiet down. I am going to pick up some Schaeffer's 5w40 tomorrow and change mine on Wednesday. That will quiet mine down.
