Camper Special Mirrors
There are three 3 sets of two holes on the door that I believe are there to hold the intended mirrors. One set of holes is above the window vent the other is below the window vent. The third set is below the window farther back from the other set that is below the window vent. So, it's a three-point type connection.
From poking around the web I believe what I am looking for are called "Western Mirrors". I've also seen the term "Long Arm Western Mirrors". I'v seen pictures of trucks on the web in junk yards that seem to have the brackets I am looking for, but the picturs are all old, like over 5 years old.
I'd like to get the original type mirror brackets and mirrors on the truck, or at least something that would allow me to see behind the truck.
Does anyone know where I could possibly get "Western mirrors" that would fit my 1968 F250 Campe Special truck ?
Thanks
Chris
When I bought my F100, it had "car" mirrors on it also. What a waste(only good for seeing if you forgot your gascap).
I placed a wanted ad for the Jr. west coast mirrors and I prompty got an email. With a week, a fellow shipped a set to me. Told me if they will work, send him $20. PERFECT. They had all the bolts and gasket for between brackets and door. I did the same when I needed a window regulator. Another $20 and I had a near perfect window regulator at my door.
I donated the screws/mounting pads for my car mirrors to a fellow on here that needed the small parts for his. No problem.
