78 lighting problems
the lights on my 78 ranger started pulsating lately and then suddenly my low beams would not work at all. then as soon as i flashed my high beams one light come on. some times the light that won't come on will come on really dim. my brake lights also stopped work around the same time

With the headlights on, pull the floormat back on the driver's side, and check for voltage on the dimmer switch. One wire will be 12 volt from the headlight switch. The other two wires are highbeam and lowbeam. So when you switch the dimmer switch, you should have 12 volts on one, and then the other when the switch is activated. Check this out and see what you have, and also check out the plug to make sure it's not corroded.
If this checks out, I would check your grounds. Run a new ground wire from the battery negative to the bolt that holds the alternator regulator.
