Bronco wouldn't start, put in new battery and everything seemed fine. Today dorve to work went to run errands and it wouldn't start again. Brand new battery, lights are bright don't draw down when I try to start. Starter not engaging. Should I strt with solenoid?
I am not sure what it is called exactly but clean the wires and posts of that little black box on the passenger inner fender, close to the battery. My truck would just click when I turned the key.I took those wires off and cleaned up the connections and it hasn't failed me in 3yrs.Be sure to snug them back up quite good when you are done. Good luck.
Grab a pair of channel lock pliers. Put truck in park or neutral with e-brake on. Turn the key on to the run position. Now take the pliers and jump both sides of the solenoid together. If it starts, the solenoid is your issue. If it just clicks again, you might want to look towards the starter.

Jumping across solenoid a no go. Replaced all the cables.
Took the starter to advqance it tested fine. Guy spun it pretty hard and said it was a little "dry"? Put it back on fired first try. Second time I tried to start it back to not engaging starter!
