battery replacement

Yesterday I had to jump start my truck twice, after driving 200 miles then this morning, it still wouldn't start. Likely time for new battery being on original battery since new. Before I go over to local Sears, checking out the Diehards. What do you guys use and/or prefer any particular brands?

I've had good luck with Interstate batteries and the OEM Motorcraft. I just put a new battery in my '05 last fall and I went with another Motorcraft since the original one lasted so long. My wifes '07 still has the original MC battery in it and it's still going strong.

Back in '03 I traded my '97 for an '01 and since I just put a new battery in the truck I was getting rid of I pulled it out and put the old one back in. Then when I picked up the new truck I put the new battery in that and my dad put the two year old MC battery in his work truck and ran it for quite a few more years before it finally died on him.

Battery

I put a Napa battery into my 07 last fall. Decent price and one of the best cold cranking amps battery I could get. Came with a good warranty too. Every battery I've replaced, I've always gotten the ones with the highest CCA I can get and living in Minn, it's been worth it IMO.

I went over to Sears and bought the Diehard Gold for $129. It has 850 CCA. Hope it'll last me another 5 years.
Better specs than the OEM Motorcraft, it had 650 CCA, looks like this Diehard Gold is a safe bet. I've almost always used Diehard as replacement battery on most of my vehicles. I'm simply trying to find an excuse to switch to different brand with my earlier post. Not enough replies for me to switch at this time.
Now, did I read anywhere that once the battery is replaced, it resets the computer memory for evaluating the gas, timing, etc. Assuming the gas mileage will be off for a while?

Yea the power loss causes a hard reset to factory settings.
The PCM will relearn your driving parameters.
You can use a charger or jump box to maintain power during a change over

Costco's Kirkland brand batteries are what is in my vehicles. 6 batteries in all.

4 for my two diesels, one in my Lightning, and one in the F150 I just sold to my daughter.

My son has one one in his Mustang too.
