I have an 05 F150. I bought an Audiophile Cd player that was taken out of an 06 and it doesn't fit the opening of the plastic center piece and it sticks out 3/16-1/4 inch past the plastic. Has anyone heard of this? I have searched and read alot of posts but no one mentioned this. Maybe there is a different bracket I need I am not sure. Any info would be great. Thanks James
Do you have any pictures? Did you compare it to your factory radio, where the tabs are? Where did you get it from, is there any chance that it was mismarked and the radio wasn't from an F150 and had different mounting tabs? It should fit.
I don't know if this is the problem, but when I looked at upgrading for my 06 Lariat I found examples of some radios that look identical but for some reason use different mounting brackets. Here's a link to one on ebay now that illustrates my point. Again, don't know if this is the problem or not. Pics would help.

My factory radio is gone I replaced it a year ago. I bought from a guy that also sold me a third brake light and he said it came out of an 06 lariat. I can't get the plastic console to fit once the radio is installed. The black alaignment pins don't reach the holes I need about 1/4 inch to make it fit. I posted pics in my gallery I forgot how to put pics in the thread.
I dug out my factory single CD out of my 04. Mounting tabs do look closer to the plastic faceplate than yours. Guess they made changes in the years or audophile..??
