They're no more blue at night than what you see there. Those are the 8000K bulbs from http://www.xenonlink.com, and do have a slight blue tint (as you can see in the pic). If you want pure white, go with the 6000Ks. If I ever have to replace them, I'll be trying them -- not because I don't like the 8000Ks, because I like them a lot!! But because I just want to try something different.
Here is my pattern, which is just as good as the stock halogen bulbs:
They look awesome from the cab, but I am wondering what they look to oncoming traffic? I know how much i HATE to have them run up behind me or even worse meet them in oncoming traffic. I have been blinded by them before and one time, when I saw them coming my way, I slowed down before they got to me, and unfortunatly then never got to me. The guy in front of me drifted over and hit them and luckily I had slowed down enough to be able to stop before I got to the pileup. I just don't want to take the chance of blinding someone from the front or behind. I don't ride people from behind but I see it all the time where these kids with the little rice burners run up on you with the blue lights and you just want to blast them with a "Q" Beam to get them as far away as you can, and I can imagine them as high as what the lights on our trucks are coming up behind a small car....Just looking our for the other drivers and kinda like the looks of the silverstars, but don't want anything that is blinding and blue....
I just bought a set of these Silverstar Ultra bulbs after getting a strong recommendation about them from "Texas Outlaw" (Bought his upgraded wiring harness, and must say, he is a very, very, good person to deal with).
I found the "Ultra's" on sale from amazon.com for the price of $26.83 after rebate. At that cost, it seems foolish to not give them a try.
I don't know about the rest of you with 01 SDs, but the factory lighting on my truck is absolutely terrible! So, I also bought a set of these headlights
I am hoping with the upgraded headlights, wiring harness, and Silverstar "Ultra's, I can make the drive to CO without relying on my KC Daylighters to see the road!!!
Yeah, they look good in the picture. Please let us all know what you think about them when you get them installed. Maybe even post a picture of the installed lights.

Look at the pic of my truck in post 25. They're not glaring a little off the side at all. I had my wife follow me to the airport when I had to return a rental vehicle, and they weren't blinding in the least bit. Yes, they're brighter, but that's the point. As long as they're aimed & focused properly, I see nothing wrong with them. And I still have yet to be flashed -- at least because of my lights. I've been flashed & given the one-fingered-salute from behind because the jack-weed deserved a windshield full of soot, but that's a whole different thing...
Of course, I would be happy to send them to you to try out for me, but alas, I won't receive them until the 29th. By then of course, I will already have the harness & Ultra's.
There's always the next time!!

I don't have a clue as to how to post photos on this site, but I will be happy to send you a photo via email. Just PM me a email address you want it sent to, and I'll get one or two out to you next week (After I get everything installed)

You could just set up you gallery, we can look there to see. Go to the User CP link in the blue bar above and follow the instructions there. You can also copy from your gallery and paste in the post.
