Just found out today that ford is going to replace my truck. i was scheduled for a arbitration hearing on the 4th of February but the BBB called me and said ford would like to replace my truck. this bestows my faith back in the big blue oval! i can pick a replacement truck up to 105% percent of what i paid for the truck. i hope i get a job 3 build. the only thing that kinda sux is i have to remove the lift kit and restore it back to original. i don't get reimbursed for my window tint, the window visors, the bed liner, or anything that is now permanent. i have to pay a percentage of usage of the truck to ford. i guess beggars can't be choosers? i just hope i don't have any problems with the new truck.
I just talked to Ford and they are supposed to give me a 200k warranty on the engine including water pump, injectors, turbo, or anything related to the engine. It is going to be a O deductable. Haven't got it in writing yet.
Man Cooooool hopfully I am right behind you! Ford is going over mine right now.
any pointers? Can't wait what were you biggest problems?
the biggest problem i had was it statying in regen mode and note being able to drive the vehicle. also, 4x4 went out and it leaks oil. the best thing i can tell you is to not to settle for what they offer. they offered me the extended warranty till 200k but thats not what i wanted. if the BBB feels that it is a safety issue, that really puts ford in a bind. i felt that the truck not responding while driving was a major safety issue. just push the safety card. if its unsafe, thats your biggest advantage.
Carefully understand what FORD is offering. I went that far with my 2003 Excursion with 6.0. I had about 15,000 miles on the vehicle when they agreed. HOWEVER, in FL at that time, FL lemon law said I had to pay $7,500.00 which was $0.50/mile. At the time, I did not think it was a fair deal so I kept the Excursion and traded it a year later. Good luck (i.e. my numbers are not exact, but the 50cents a mile useage is exact for "my percentage useage")
