CD player says Bad Disc

CD player says Bad Disc
2001 PSD F250 with single disc AM FM. There is no disc in the CD player, but it is constantly giving the "Bad Disc" error. It was like this when I bought the truck, this is just the latest bug I am working on. Has anyone else seen this message and how did you fix it? Thanks, Donna

it looks like the cd player control circuit is shot. did you tru to push on connectore and see if anything happens? maybe a loose plug inside,
im just guessing here
and i dont have the parts for those things to help you, i never worked on those units.when mine brakes its new DD kenwood or alpine thats going in.

I checked all the connectors. I guess it is shot. I guess I will live with FM til I can get a new one. Thanks for your help. D
