As asked by DJDemon and Skandocious I have made a few videos of me driving to show the shift kit in action. I used mt digital camera so the sound is a bit off from the video. Just listen to the truck and watch the tach/speedo and youll see how it shifts. You can tell if im drivin hard or just normal. I think 1 or 2 are downshifts. http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/cc167/Hot88MustangGT/F350/?action=view¤t=MVI_0116.flv

Those shifts do siound real nice and clean... Real snappy, no delay between when the RPM drops and the next gear catches, I like it. I think you've got me sold on a shift kit. Now if you guys can help me choose which one to get I'll order it this week and have it on by next weekend.
Hey Chris, what's with the clunking noise that I heard during a few of those shifts... That's not the transmission is it? Lol
i have the b&m shift kit and it kicks ***. i really really like it. i wish i got this sooner, the shifts are awesome. there were just two wires to attach. i know you wired up your remote start. if you can do that you can do this in under a half hour.

Wait a minute dreo, are we thinking of the same thing here? Because the shift kits we're talking about involved dismantling some of the transmission. Perhaps this is the one you have?
my brother had B&M the kit on his.. tranny in his 88' silvirado..( the almost same tranny as the E40D but in chevy i dont remember the name now Th350 something like that ) but he had it on street strip seting and DAMN that thing shifted hard when hes flooring it...it even chirp the tires giong into 3rd.. but annoying to cruise around.. it shifted at 2500 or 3000 giong down in traffic..
chris from the f350 make a video for us please where are dieng to get it!!! lol normal driving from 1 to 4th and a 1-4 WOT drive
and normal downshifts and hard downshifts please lol..
the 0-60 from conanski you can see how the transgo kits works.. skan, you remember the post about flareside thunder we all posted our 0-60 vid? well there conaskies video is..
if its OD would it have been a 700R4??, had one of those in a (gasp) c@*#ro, damn good shifts with a kit
we must be on two different pages because i didnt need to dismantle my e40d at all. does anyone know the disadvantages to my shift kit vs. the kind that requires dismantling of the trans? im sure mine is inferior just based on the fact that it was so simple to install and it only cost 30 bucks. im really satisfied with it so far so i guess thats all that matters.
Skan, this is another option for a shift kit. This just replaces the valve body that's already on there and you don't have to worry about springs, check *****, etc.,. since it's just bolt in place. They cost a little more and they have a core, but this is probably the route I'm going with mine when I get the time/money to do it. I think Mike/Mr. M is running one of these on his truck, so you might ask him as well.
