whats your rev. limiter set at? i usually set mine a 6k so i hit it just once in a while.....usually drunk...

i found out my 96' (300i6) doesn't have a rev limiter, hahaha, that was so bad, i was young and dumb and just held the gas pedal to the floor waiting for a limiter and it never came, the tach was at like 5200, then it stalled after that....

HA! 300s are the toughest engine ford ever made. I wish you could build a streetable efficient street legal 500hp 6. That would be awesome. Also 500hp would probably net you 700ft lbs once you got the turbos (plural) spooled up.

At a mud run a few years ago a guy busted his bottom radiator hose on his 300 and ran it through 2 more passes and never blew a head gasket or locked the motor up.

??? This is a locker and gear ratio thread.
quad, what gear ratio would you run with 44s?

6.72s is not an option!

haha......6.72's are ALWAYS a option!!!!

i havn't read the thread, for me it matter on a few things, it matter what hp and tq #'s you have, also matter auto or manual, if auto, what tq converter, and then what type of wheeling you do, and then his driving style.....answer those and i can answer what I would do.....its really a matter of personal preference....

rear has 30spline. Cost too much to use 35spline locker and D70 shafts.

Just my opinion

You have to buy this $450 boring tool.

and do this to your spindles

I was all for this mod until I figured how much it would cost. Building a D70 is cheaper than building a 35 spline D60. Well I guess you could find a D60HD but those things are like hens teeth and expensive from anyone who knows what they have.
