tachometer drive distributors

I am looking for at least ten tachometer drive distributors for the FE series motors (330CID & 361 CID). the particular ones are not the ones with a govenor and apparantly were installed in the late 1970's medium sweries trucks (such as F600 - C600 through C900 series trucks) and had several different part numbers- I am not sure what part numbers relate to the tachometer drive ones but I have the sheets from the parts listing published in1980. I have pictures and some additional information. Any help is appreciated in locating some or information on determining what are the correct numbers (Motorcraft also had rebuilt ones- I may have the part numbers but again do not know which ones are correct for the non govenor and tachometer drive. Thanks

I could be wrong but I didn't think Ford made one for the FE's. All the ones I have ever seen are aftermarket ones! You may want to ask RWJ, Jay Brown or Barry R. He would know rare stuff like that! If he doesnt then I don't know who would!!!

I though Stewart Warner use to make one. And maybe Mallory or Sun. But finding them now may be difficult.

The ones I am looking for were made by the factory. I have pictures of one and have had two over the years. Any thoughts or references are appreciated.

Well your issue is the 330 and 361 were NOT FE engines they are FT engines. All the ones I have come across are for FT engines and have the big base.

Tach Drive

The only tach drive distributors Iv'e seen are the govenor style for FT's. It's rumered that there were some built in the late 50's for the Edsels that had a factory Tach. They would be as scarce as HENS TEETH Good luck!

Have A Good Day----Hotwrench

Ford did make them for the FE! They made them for marine 427 and GT40's/Cobras. But no one had spit out a part # for it....

The ones that I am looking for are not the ones with the big base (internal govenor version) apparantly they had an electronic govenor. I have part numbers that I believe that one or more may be the one that I am looking for:
D8TE-12127-LA; D8TE-12127-KA;D8TE-12127-ANA with Motorcraft numbers= DA-1664; DA-1665; DA-1666 and DA-1668.
