Cadillac CTS-V

Damn communists!
So no Ford's made in Canada are good in your books? I guess that means the Lightnings are junk and I sure hope in your vast fleet of Fords, you don't have a 5.4 or certain 4.6's, they aren't good either.
Can you point me to where the comparision is made between a Caddy and Shelby? You and your infinite wisdom stated that "nobody needs a 400 hp CAR"
I remember some time ago in grade 1, C-A-R spelled car, NOT family sedan. It wasn't until you spun your own statement around ( right, you meant family sedan ) to TRY and give yourself some credit that any comparison #'s were brought in the mix AFTER. So in essence, YOU were the one the made the comparison. OUCH, the truth hurts now doesn't it......
Unlike some here, I can understand what is being posted here and it doesn't fair well for you.
Word of advice, maybe you should hide out in your chapter for awhile. Hopefully 93Ranger will post here and we can forget your posts.
At least his are funny.....

Smiggs it is obvious that you did not read what I said about Fords being Built in Canada....
Go Figure...
Tim has brought up this issue in the other thread you're stinking up....

Bottom line = very little, and it's been this way for over 20 years.
Turn on your stereo, your cellphone, your Ipod, your TV, your MP3 player...where was it made?
Depending on the quality: Japan, Mexico, or (most likely today) China.
Most of the vehicle electronics = Japanese, Mexican, Chinese.
Depending on what your auto trans is, it could have been made in the: US, Mexico, Canada, Germany, France.
Where's the steel from? Did you say Japan? Wrong.
But very little US made steel is used in US vehicle manufacturing. Why? It's too expensive.
Visit the ghost town steel cities of Gary, Indiana and Youngstown, Ohio: Sickening!
Buy any parts recently from your friendly Ford Dealer?
What does the carton say where the contents were made? Made in Canada? Hecho en Mexico? Made in China?
Bottom line...blame the US Gov't, the auto manufacturers, the UAW for these fiasco's.
They stood idly by, when the 'ferin' companies started building assembly plants in the US, without union representation.
Why didn't they do something, anything? In a word: Arrogance.
No one figured the 'ferin' companies econo boxes would sell here.
They were wrong.
Once established = read profitable, that opened the door wide open for imports for all the 'ferin' made goods.
When was the last time you bought electronics, clothes or shoes made in the US?
Just try and find a label on these goods that says: "Proudly made in the USA"
Good luck!
It gets even worse.
Where are most of the toys made? China.
Where are the gold and gemstones in your jewelry from? Most likely not from the US of A.
Take a gander at all the 'ferin' labels on veggies and fruits on display at your local super market.
Gotta love that guacamole. The original recipe is Mexican..and so are the chili's and avocados that went into the fixins.'
We're not only driving and wearing 'ferin' made goods, but eatin' them too!

Turn on your radio...where was it made...did you say Japan? Right-o.
Most of the electronics = Japanese.
We are talking Trucks and not to change that subject and twist it...Nice going....
I am done in this thread......

I do not have an IPOD and thanks for telling me that I own one..
I grow most of my veggies and I can and freeze them..And I read the lables at the stores when I shop and I said in a few past pages about the household things but the fact of the matter is that we are talking trucks here and not Blenders and toasters...LOL
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

You have a point there ....LOL My Bad..Town car is still way better and
Remember Smigg's Shelbys are a Sports car and not a 4 door Sedan like the Caddy..

I have no: MP3 Player, or Ipod. Dunno what they are, what they do, and could care less.
I do have over 30,000 books...most were bound and printed in the US.
I collect many things = all old, and all US manufactured.
btw: I do have a cellphone..I use it mebbe...once a month.
I have a lemon tree, two varieties of orange trees, and an avocado tree.
Have a bumper crop this year, anyone want any of these? Come and get 'em.
I buy US goods whenever possible = paying more for them than the 'ferin' crappola.
We are talking about toasters and blenders, because they too are 'ferin' made goods, just like all the crappola in our vehicles.
We have become a nation of consumers.
I don't like that fact anymore than you do!
btw, part deux: Town Car and Merc Grand Marquis going bye bye...very soon.
Detroit insiders are saying = no more Mercury Division after 2010.
Good news, very good news: Jag and Land Rover are also going ta ta.
Prez Alan Mulally said recently that Ford has sold both of these mega $$$ losing companies to Tata Motors of India, only the finalization of the contract is being worked out.
The (fire) "sale" price?
Between 1.5 and 2 billion dollars...each.
Ford invested in Jag alone, over 20 billion dollars!
Jag and/or Land Rover never made one cent of profit for Ford Motor Company.

The CAR in the thread topic and the Shelby's ( CAR ) have +400 hp.
But who needs a 400 hp car right?
( damn it! now I'm using the sarcastic face of doom! )

Ford used the term "sporty car" when the Mustang was introduced in April 1964.
I almost fell over laughing when someone said..."Oh, the Mustang has a live rear axle, it can't be a sports car...sports cars have IRS." (no, not Internal Revenue Service): Independent Rear Suspension.
True sports cars like MG's, Jags, Austin Healeys, Triumphs, even the Corvette..all had live rear axles for decades.
Origin of the name Corvette = RCN (Royal Canadian Navy) WWII term for a sub chaser.

Used to be japan, now it's inferior chinese steel.
