Talk about de-railing threads ....LAMO...You make me laugh....So how is your rice doing today?....
Please reference post #8 as to who started flinging the crap around here. It's so plainly obvious that you are merely here to bait me down to your maturity level.
Guess what, it's not working.

So when you state:

We are to assume you are talking exclusively about family sedans?

What does need have to do with it? Cars like that are a lot of fun to drive.
Last time I checked this was a free country, and if person wanted to buy a really fast four door sedan to scare themselves and three good friends, then they have every right to.
Who in the hell do you think you are, dictating what other people need anyway? You are begging to sound like some sort of bleeding heart, Government knows best, liberal ******. You probably hate firearms too.
Those Shelby Mustangs are WAAAYYYY overated. Too much hp. Who needs it.
The Shelby's are pretty lousy, to be honest. Tons of work in the engine, with no attention at all paid to the rest of the car, so around a track or driven hard, they're damn near useless.
The Roush Mustangs are MUCH nicer. A bit less power, but WAY more attention paid to the brakes and suspension, and as a result are faster in just about everything except a straight-line drag race.

The Roush 428R look pretty nice. ( nicer looking than a GT500 IMHO ) With a hefty price tag also.
The Roush Drag Pack as tested by MMFF came in at a tick over 80 grand.
Your the one that compared the Caddy to the Shelby not me pal....
Caddy = car
Shelby = car

In the future, please understand what you type BEFORE you post. This is getting waaaayyyy to easy and albiet the both of us to actually keep the thread on topic.
actually smiggs is right-ford SHOULD have a hot luxury performance sedan to attract buyers even though it is likely they would buy the lower perf model. buyers will NOT go for a car perceived to be an older persons car. i am 100% pro ford and especially like the town car but younger buyers want performance oriented cars like the cadillac instead. while i am on my soap box ford also needs some high quality low priced entry level cars that younger buyers can afford to develop ford brand loyalty as they are able to buy these more expensive cars be it performance or luxury.
