Cadillac CTS-V

[QUOTE=Hobo]So you accept the bet then, or you admit that the CTS-V will be the faster car? Which is it?
The CTS-V was pretty much designed on the toughest race track in world, the Nordshlieffe of the Nurburgring. The Shelby GT500 was designed to go fast in a strait line.
According to most tests though it doesn't even do that all that well. Automobile Magazine was able to get a 4.9 second 0-60 and a 13.1@115mph quater mile out of one. Really not all that impressive considering the previous generation CTS-V with only 400hp and 395lb-ft of torque managed 0-60 in 4.7 seconds (hmm faster than a GT500), and did the Quarter in 13.1@110mph (tied with a GT500). So what in the world (other than your pathetic delusions of Ford superiority) would make you think that another CTS-V with another 150hp on tap will not be even quicker?

CTS-V is still a family car and end of story..So it goes fast..Big deal...LAMO...

Considering a C6 Corvette (non Z06) is a faster car in all regards than a GT500, and costs less.... well in my book that makes the GT500 a fat pig of a muscle car.

The best part is I can do it with hard test data. Sorry but the Shelby GT500 needs to loose about 500lbs to be competitive. The car is overpriced fro what it delivers.
Now the Ford GT on the other hand was brilliant. I would love to have one of those, and to top it off it was a performance bargain even at $100K+.

The Roush Mustangs would probably beat the CTS-V, but even that's questionable. While they have the advanced suspension and chassie tuning, and massive brakes, they're still around 420hp. Of course, they're faster then a GT500 in anything but a straight line, I don't know how they'd stack up against the CTS-V

If that is your truck at all...LAMO....I thought you were a Toyota owner the way you promote them..
So but I would never support the communist if I can help it..The things of it is you can do much about is the household goods..But I stay away from like Communist shops like Wal-Mart and other outfits like it...
I am a firm believer in Ford Products and have owned them for more the 25 years. I have also owned GM trucks as well but not since 1988...
