From the original post it doesn't sound like he is looking for them, but there are digital A-Pillar gauges out there, too! I would imagine they are more expensive.
bandlgeorge - I LOVE the new DP in the gauge pod!!! It looks great!!!!! I wish I would have done mine like that, but I got a steal on my gauge and pod for 121.05 painted grey and everything so I had to stick with that. I think I will take the Dremel to my dash and put it in next the the 4x4 ****. Also, IAFF...that a boy! I am a POC on my local department.
Whereabouts in SE Wisconsin? I have family in Ogema where my family originally immigrated to. I think that is north of you a good bit. I am thinking of moving the DP down to the dash like you were saying and adding a fuel or oil pressure gauge in that fourth pod to use that pod for an actual gauge. I really like the look of the Dipricol's, though! How long have you been POC?

I am by Lake Geneva, that is about five and a half hours south of there. If I remember right it is west of Tomahawk.
I have been POC for around five years. I was a sophomore in college then and I have been out for three years now.
I forgot to add to my last post that on the fire department we use pin stripe tape on our gauges so we don't have to "think" when we are setting pressures. So on your EGT gauge, just run a line of tape from the center up to the 1250 (or whatever you are comfortable with) on the gauge and all you have to do is glance to see where the needle is in relation to the tape. Works great!

We are fortunate in that most of our pumps are pressure governor setups with preset idle/pressure settings. We use grease pens or dry-erase to mark initial static intake pressure so you can monitor where you started in relationship to where you are (really helps in water-on-wheels operations vs hydrant operations). My EGT actually has a red zone from 1300 plus, which helps in identifying if it's too hot. I just look at it and if the needle is near straight vertical, I start watching it more closely.
