Tornado in January!?!

I cant believe it! We had a few tornadoes touch down around here this afternoon. Now it might be something if I was down south or something, but this is Southeastern Wisconsin! A week ago it was dumping a buttload of snow on us! I was driving home when everything hit the fan, but I was on the edge of the storm and it didnt hit us as hard as it did just a few miles south. The reports already have said 6-8 houses leveled in a very small area. I am just glad to hear that no one was injured. The big bummer of it all is that was 60 outside today, and tomorrow its supposed to drop back down and theres a possibility of snow too for tomorrow.

I know man this weather is crazy. Its January and we can go out doors without coats, just wearing short sleeves, Todays high was 60 something, and just last week we had highs in the 20's.

The storms that dumped on you today are getting ready to hit us here in Cincy

I agree here.....Back on subject... Living in the southeast, We dodge tornados on a weekly basis it seems, especially in the spring. We have had 2 in the last 8 years that severely damaged our town and the first of them was in Jan. 01/19/1999 to be exact. They scare the HELL out of me because they can't be predicted and you have very little warning. Any way, A tornado north of the Bible Belt in Jan is unheard of to say the least. Good Luck with that....

tornado warnings here also, but none were reported. we did get at least 2 inches of rain, though. good thing it wasn't snow,we would be diggin out for days!! The tornado warnings are a little weird but the quick changes from cold to warm temps are not a freak thing. has been happening as long as I can remember. i am 37 years old. 2 years ago,the 1st of march a tornado pretty much tore up a town 30 miles from my town, and 3 days later we had 8 inches of snow on the ground.

Actually, here in Iowa, the only month to never have a tornado is February so far... so basically, it is possible, and nothing new... According to NOAA, Wisconsin has had a tornado in January, prior to 2005... http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mkx/?n=taw-part4-tornado_stats

We didn't get anything here (northcentral WI) but fog. Thick, wet, smothering fog.

Oh, that and 38 degree temps. Feels like spring!

Wisconsin has had 1 other tornado, which was in 1967, since 1844. As for the ones yesterday, the big one that hit here was an F-3, possibly an F-4, and the one(s) that hit Kenosha were F-1. I had to work in the area today of the largest strike and all I can say is it looks like a warzone. Things are strewn all over. Houses and barns are damaged or leveled, and there is this little grove of trees that is no longer, you can see right where it went through. Its some crazy stuff to say the least!
Here are some more pics.

Global warming is real

But nobody cares. The ****** aren't going to stop burning coal. So why should we? Loser countries will get flooded and die. Other's won't. C'est la vie.

Ten years ago today was the big ice storm that put Quebec in the dark for a month. The seperatists keep whining about global warming. They should get back to the business of building infrastructure and growing the economy. If there's more crazy weather it's gonna be up to ourselfs to save our own asses.

There is more to global warming than the human contribution, but that is not what they want you to know, so they can control the public with their fearmongering. If it isn't global warming, it will be something else.
