rear diff. id question
I have a 8.8 rear from an '86 Mustang GT. The tag denotes 3P08. Both wheels spin in the same direction when jacked up. What does the "P" mean on the Ford 8.8 diff. I know it isnt a limited slip or open rear.

I doubt it. Most people who work at dealerships are surprisingly clueless.
It's definitely not posi traction, as that's a GM term.
It must mean limited slip. But I've never seen P before, only L.
