I'm trying to debug a no crank.
Anyone have the pinouts for the back of the ignition switch?
Peter
Ford had a problem with 1968/69 and early 1970's (= before serial #G90,001) F100/350 ignition switches = = they shorted out and caught fire!
Ford came out with a new ignition switch kit in 1971 to fix them.
The kit consists of a new style switch and a new plug with pigtailed wires.
The same kit is also used in 1968/69 passenger cars, as they use the same switch the trucks do.
D1AZ-11572-C .. Ignition Switch Kit (Motorcraft SW-1054) Still available from Ford.
From FTE sponsor DIRECT FORD PARTS (Gaudin Ford-Las Vegas, NV) =
Ford suggested retail price: $76.40 / FTE member net price: $40.50
FTE sponsor GREEN SALES (800-543-4959) has 10 of the switches in stock.
Their price might be cheaper than what Ford sells them for, but if buying one, make sure the separate plug is still in the box.
The old ignition switch plug will not work on the new switch!
