Injector service (flush)
My local dealership service guy has been pushing me to get the Diesel injector service. This guy and the diesel tech are actually very good guys and have never steered my wrong before. They both said that the 7.3 really benifits from this service. It runs about $250. Any thoughts.

I think you had enough good luck in that day, and wouldn't wager any more for bad luck. There's really nothing to do to a 7.3 injector, other then feed it clean oil. What they could be doing is draining the HPO rails in the cylinder heads (about a quart or more each) and then refilling with clean oil. As long as you keep clean oil and clean fuel they will run and run and run. Ask them particularly what they do, and don't let them beat around the bush either.

I'll call him on Monday, he's always been really straigth forward with me... oh did I mention that the owner of this particular dealership is an old family friend and called the service department personally the first time I went in a told them to take care of me.

I've had dealers try and push me on that too. It sounds like a good thing so I'm sure many people pay for it, but unless your losing MPG's or power there's nothing wrong with your injectors.
If you want to do something for your injectors dump some fuel additive in your tank. Otherwise save your money.
