My f350 died while pulling on to the road. Drained the batteries, trying to start. Finally, got it home. Now the big question, what may be the problem.
CPS? Price for the latest version is ~$15 from the dealership but obviously you'll have to wait until tomorrow to get one. As for what can be done today:
have you checked for any blown fuses, loose wires, etc.? If you have her in a garage, it wouldn't hurt to check all your ground cables; unbolt them, wire-brush the local area, bolt, threads, connector, etc. to help ensure a good connection - once bolted back together, coat with Vaseline or some other non-conductive grease to keep the elements away. Just remember that after a power wash you may need to add some grease to keep a good coating in place
Any other info you can give us? Do your dash lights all function normally? When the truck died did it sputter or simply shut down like someone turned off the key? Were there any other indications before the truck died? Have you checked for fuel in your filter bowl?
If you turn the key on, does the WTS (Wait to Start) light come on and the go off like normal?
If you drain the fuel filter bowl will the fuel pump re-fill it? You should be able to hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on for about 20 seconds.
