The drain valve on the fuel bowl? Open and let the pump fill it. Or the drain on the filter? That is what the **** is on the bottom of a baldwin filter right? Thanks Ron
the one behind the bowl under the hood.. the one on the ITP filter is to drain water from time to time....i cant remember if there is a plug in the top of the filter head on the ITP filter or not.but it sounds like you might not have let the ITP filter fill up enough on first start up...so you have a lot of air in the lines and head..does it run ok right now?? just a little noisy right???
Ya it runs fine now that i cycled the pump a few times at the gas station, then it knocked as loud as it ever has for a few minutes at idle(stop light) then got home and it seemed to quit. So i let it idle in the driveway for 20 min or so and seems to be fine, just wondered if i need to keep cycling the pump before i start it a few more times to get the rest of the air out of the system.
nope take her for a long ride..it may take 50 to 100 miles to get air pushed out the dead end rails...like i said..next time you do the filter..fill it with fuel..just like you should be doing with the oil filter.only with oil lol...i do this with any filter that is up right..even my lawn tracktor..

Ok thanks, ya i do my oil that way but i thought that bieng pre pump the pump would fill it, but in hind sight the air would have to go to the bowl because there isnt a bleeder between the pump and the bowl. Thanks again
