ARP head studs (again)

OK, I Emailed summit racing to ask about a set of ARP head studs for my 6.9. I asked specifically about the PSI rating of the studs, and if they were 220K PSI, the answer was that ALL ARP head studs are rated at 200K psi.

What gives? is the 220K impossible to get? Can anyone tell me what the deal is?

You cant ask summit questions like that, they just sell stuff, email arp and ask them then order them from summit.

ARP does or did make 3 or 4 grades of head studs.

I have the new arp catalog in my hand and it says the head studs are 200,000 tensile. That is also what they said the studs I got for my engine were rated at. They were 1/2 x 7 bulk stock and they work nicely. There is a good chance they make stronger but that will require a phone call I bet.

Let me know what you find out. I've been looking for a set but I don't want to settle for $675 to get a set from DPS...
