Hi all,
My 272 for my 56 big window is all painted and looking good. I am trying to replace the rear seal, but cannot seem to get a socket on the 2 bolts to remove the lower end cap. I think its 5/16 but not sure. None of my sockets will fit. It seems I need a very thin walled socket? Any ideas/thoughts?
Happy New Year!

I have a 12 point 3/8 x 3/8 std socket with the outisde diameter hand ground down for clearance that I keep for this particular application. My deep sockets are all 6 point and are S&K so I just used an extr5a std socket that was 12 point.
thank you for your help,
I think the existing bolts are a bit buggerd up so hence my problem. I will likely use a easy out for bolts this weekend to get the buggers out and replace them with new units.
thanks again.

thanks again for your help,
after taking a much closer look-they are most certainly 12 pt bolts-i would have never guess in 56 these were even invented! the bolts came out with ease with the right 3/8 12 pt socket.
