I am soon to replace my gear box and I do not have a socket big enough to take the nut and lock washer off the steering box to pitman arm, so I have been searching for the right size but can't seem to find the answer. What size socket is needed to remove that nut and lock washer?
If 1-5/16 is the size for it then it's metric size would be 33.3376 Millimeters. Orielly's has a 34 MM socket that is a loaner tool so I may drive by there in the truck and test it out and see if it's snug on the nut.

Thanks for the help!
Sears would have this size, if there is one near you
I just went and got a 1 5/16 socket and its a little to big and has some play on the nut, I'm going to try a 32m and see if that is more of a tight fit
My suggestion is to buy a combo wrench once you are satisfied with the size. Mine has paid for it's self many times over. Also, don't get too finicky with the fitment. Once you get to this size, there is so much contact surface you will not strip it. Most mechanics I know buy either a standard or metric set of larger tools, not both.
While you are at the parts house getting the loaner, pick up a cheap vernier or dial caliper. Then you can measure for yourself. When you return the loaner you can buy the one you really need.
I work on industrial machinery and I start each job by measuring the heads of the bolts I plan to remove. Those big tools are just too heavy to tote around, 3/4 is usually the smallest I use. I'm not carrying a 4" socket up a flight of stairs if I'm not 100% sure I'll need it up there!
32m was to small so I ended up using a big adjustable wrench to get the nut off, I'm trying to replace the seals on the shaft though and I was wondering if it would be better to start the truck and turn the wheel and hope the pressure will knock the seals out or would it be better to just use some screws and screw into the old seal and use pliers to pull the seal out, if someone could help that would be nice

I just used screws, vice grips and a small hammer to get the seals out on my 75 F250
