A couple weeks ago i discovered a fuel leak on my truck. i traced it to the passenger side of the block where the fuel line goes into the head. the fitting was loose so i tightened it pretty tight. Today i was letting my truck warm up and I took a quick look under my truck and i just happened to see some fluid drop off the oil pan. I got my mag light and looked up and noticed it was leaking from the same line into the block again. This line comes from the banjo bolt on the back of the lift pump, one goes to the drivers and the other to the passengers side. I got up there with my 9/16's and loosened it up then re-tightened it. Has anybody ever had troubble with the lines here before? I dont understand why it keeps loosening up. I'm thinking about replacing the line if it happenes again. You can see where the line goes into the block right under the downpipe. It's real tight in there and I can barely get a wrench in.
inside that nut is a rather big rubber gasket that may be shot. The nut squishes the rubber down to seal. The line will probably be fine but the gasket needs to be replaced.
