i ride a bit, use my FIL's old polaris trail/supersport 500-fan. waste of time here owning a 10g sled, there isn't near enough snow!! nice one you got there though.
I am hoping to find a used 2007 Dragon 700 RMK. I know where there are two - one guy bought an new 2008 Dragon 800 RMK so just need to convince him to sell his 700. aAnother guy has one and will be getting new one next year - his has under 500 miles!!
not unless someone offers me a new yamaha 4-stroke to ride... these old ones pound me too much and they're getting pretty tired. it's a fun idea though.
actually they're selling those yamaha's like hot cakes. i think its the way to go. way cheaper to run, quieter, smoother...many benifets except the 13g pricetag.
the yamaha's are nice, but without that turbo their gutless...
imo they are way to heavy and dont really have the power to make up for it, they dont look that good, and the suspension is alot smoother because of the weight but when you throw a 150pound plus person on it they bottom out easily and dont have much suspension travel..
then if you hit some jumps the sled takes even more of a beating espcially in saskatchewan where we havent really been getting an amazing amount of snow
however, if it wasnt so heavy and had a longer track it would do fine in a mountain setting
EDIT: and who wants a quiet sled? i love hearing the echo of mine through the hills of northern saskatchewan
The 4 strokes are well suited to the cruiser style of sit down riding but are way off the mark for aggressive riding or mountain riding where you need to throw the sled around lots.
^^^nice..
picked up an 05 MXZ renegade 800.. same as our other just newer. really nice sleds!
ride is way better, and easier to throw around.
also rode a buddies crossfire 700 with riser bars and a pipe.
that is a heck of a ride!! waay to much power. little burp of the throttle and it responds with a big "BBBRRRAAAAPP" and the front end is in the air
scary..but fun
