cross reference parking brake cable

So im putting a different rear end under my 88. My question is will the parking brake cables from my 88 hook into the 82 rear end im putting under it?

It may if you use the main cable from the 88, cable running from the pedal to the axle/equalizer bar. And then use the cables that split out from there to going to each of the rear wheels from from the 82.

But to give you a better answer it would help to know exactly what series axle both trucks have in em.

Either way they all attach to the backing plate and activate the rear shoes in a very similar way. Cable length may end up being the only real factor and would be easily worked around in one way or another.
